About This Tour

The Serengeti National Park is one of Africa's most iconic safari destinations. Spanning over 5,700 square miles of endless plains, acacia-dotted woodlands, and river systems, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to the greatest concentration of mammals on earth .

The Serengeti is most famous for the Great Migration — a natural spectacle where over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, move in a perpetual clockwise cycle across the plains in search of grazing and water . This remarkable journey follows the seasonal rains, creating one of the world's most extraordinary wildlife experiences.

The park's name comes from the Maasai word "Seringit," meaning "endless plains" . These vast savannahs are dotted with iconic acacia and baobab trees, weathered granite kopjes, and rivers like the Grumeti and Mara that sustain an incredible diversity of wildlife.

The Serengeti is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, and over 500 species of birds. The park has the highest concentration of lions in Africa, making it a predator lover's paradise.

Accommodation ranges from comfortable tented camps to luxury lodges, offering an authentic safari experience with candlelit dinners under the stars and sundowners overlooking the plains . Game drives typically begin early at dawn, when wildlife is most active, and resume in the late afternoon for the best viewing opportunities.
